Christmas During COVID-19

Get ready for Christmas, friends!

It’s almost Christmas time, the most wonderful time of the year. There’ll be much mistletoeing and hearts will be glowing when loved ones are near. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Except… all loved ones and friends might not be near this year. However, that’s not an excuse to not have a good time! There are still great ways to celebrate the jolly season.

First off, who doesn’t like shopping when there’s a sale? There are many sales going on around this time, including the famous Black Friday sales and other Christmas sales. In fact, 4-Leaf Stationery is having a sale now on multiple desk accessories and pens! Check it out now at

The arguably best part of Christmas is the gifts. Sure you do have to buy presents, but doesn’t it feel good when they open the wrapping paper and scream in delight at what you got them? Plus, this year you don’t have to buy as many presents, since no one’s coming over. And isn’t it great when you receive presents, too?

Another mandatory part of Christmas is the feast. Never underestimate the appetites of family members. If you are vaccinated, go out to a fancy restaurant and give your tongue heaven! Or, even better, attempt a homemade feast and see what you and those you live with can put together! Even if you fail miserably, it’ll be a great time.

Now, at least for me, the second best part of Christmas is the music. Most Christmas music is happy and upbeat, and even if it isn’t, it’s deep and has a great tune. Unlike those pop songs out there that are all about “Oh, I broke up with this person and now I’m sad” kind of stuff.

Even though this Christmas might be a slightly lonely one, it is also a gift to make sure you spend quality time with the people you live with! If you live alone, take this time to relax and enjoy the holiday.

Well, that’s it for this week! Relax, get some hot chocolate, and calm yourself with “The Prayer” by Pentatonix (sorry, I’m a big fan).
